for a big band album 2003 a swing album in 2006 and a Christian-rock album in 2010 Nina Hagen released today, 11 years after "Return of the Mother", her new rock / punk album.
you guessed it, vocally enough Nina at their 70s, 80s and 90s songs no longer zoom, extravagant singing talents are found in head voice as "natural tear" ~ 1979 or "Gloria Hallelujah" 1995 was not to "beat people."
also instrumental, there is little gimmicks, no other "shake me" or "barbed wire in your pants," no musical has it all hand and foot, no pumping 4/4 beats such as when Zarah Leander remake "Yes Sir" on which "Return of The Mother "is to be found".
which is not to say that there are no experiments are at "People's Beat"!
Remakes, there are again more than just one thing:
"Killer", sung in the 90s of Seal,
"Why should the devil have all the good music" written by Larry Norman
or "Jesus is a friend of mine" by Salvatore Polichetti.
I like to be honest neither remakes nor Christian-rock-themed songs.
although I myself believe in God I find Ninas musical zelebieren and the great media attention tauferei exaggerated, we had everything with Hinduism ever.
the reason why my personally perceived rating despite the remakes and Jesus songs 4sternig fails you find actually in each song: humor!
when I say "Jesus is a friend of mine" listening with moderate euphoria, I have to grin but when Nina processed her to say the least verwunderlichen change of religion of 2009/10 as follows in the text:
"Jesus is a friend of mine,
I escaped him sometimes,
rumjezischt in India,
a guru myself jetrickst
and ick jeknickst before him,
but Jesus let loose nich,
the guru much from the stool,
det I read baptized,
the place of Guru Fiess ... ".
all very laid back and fun but packed it felt honest and I buy Nina Hagen, rather than many other artists also from.
in panel discussions perhaps they do not like his diplomacy in person, which is probably due to their emotions when it comes to human rights, nature or wildlife protection geht- topics for which it uses for decades.
here and now on board but we hear Nina in her element and this time especially our governments and other world-against-the-wall-driver on the cover! get
I think Nina has managed to beat the national balance to keep between seriousness and craziness, both lyrically and musically.
of a straight punk / rock "Ask the children ..." on Rock'n Roll "Ick let me by the devil nich ..." to famous rock musical experiment "The 5.Gebot", you get on the disc a lot of variety on offer.
the latter song proves Nina that they can not only sing but as a professional voice actress also has a very expressive language.
after 11 years, finally (albeit with very little text) again some real firecracker here: in addition to the "5.Gebot" the rousing "I am", "We are the people", "Soma coma", "people are compatible "and" encouragement "and all in German!
NINA rocks again! :)
