The gaps / problems that plague my overall assessment is ultimately small but troublesome enough to justify the loss of stars. First, ergonomics. On the model 3050 it was poor (ovoid unstable and difficult to access control buttons). This AJ260 has not learned lessons from these considerations or other engineers were hired, ironically sharing a similar mistaken view and a certain comfort. Contact surface for fingers, particularly sensitive to unsightly traces; tiny buttons, carefully hidden to facilitate handling errors and boost memory abilities of the user; extremely unstable base (at that price, we would appreciate a glass plate, replacing plastic), coupled with minimal weight for maximum irritation (about 3050 I used Velcro to anchor the beast. Here it is impossible the battery compartment and the positioning angle against it, in spite of themselves but no reason)! non-removable antenna and flexible too fine; no headphone jack (really cool! All the old radios possessed one). That is my main complaints. For the rest, just some details less predominant, such as the absence of seconds display and the inability to store new stations or temperature changes. To quibble, one could also regret the monochrome display, in line with the little gray mouse from the screen and the assumed change color according to expectations (highly autumn and changing weather ...).
That was long but this device is good! I would highly recommend if you accept its weaknesses, eventually less pronounced than those of its competitors. Again -to my sense- Philips wins the jackpot, by default. The lack of changes by reporting errors / flaws of previous models, leaves the door open to malignant manufacturers. It is often detrimental to rest on its laurels. A word ...
