No magic wand for too much money, or: ghd vs. Grundig Wet & Dry

After recommendation of my hairdresser, who had simply styled my hair with the ghd wonderfully perfect (a real eye-opening experience because I had never thought to straighten my hair), I ordered after only a moment's hesitation (oh God, the many Money !!) this ghd - and tested it in parallel with the white Grundig wet + dry, the it, for a mere 35 - are at large electric market confidence:

My hair is dyed blonde something altogether rather dry and brittle, normal to fine but shows after drying an undesirable, undefined volume, as it is only slightly curled in itself. From the ghd I promised myself the shimmering, perfect "Sleek" Look to my hairdresser had conjured up in 5min. The Grundig I had recently purchased in advance, because it is coated with tourmaline, which can never hurt, and should be suitable for straight blond hair. Stand at least large on the package)

Compared to the Grundig already noticeable that the ghd more gently goes through his hair, but even here there are so rubbing noise at the tips, so not a perfect planning. The handling of the ghd is a little easier because wonderful round in his hand lying and even the ends of the smoothing range are nicely rounded. But the result affects only minimal, as one especially practice practice practice as I've noticed.

Although my Friör implored the incredible durability of the plates of GHD, which of course I can not judge here, but at the same time I must say that the ghd of workmanship and material impression indeed made a good but not outstanding impression. The Grundig looks certainly not as "slim and dashing" out again ghd, but he has a really decent display, temperature selection, a 3m long cable that I need definitely (that the ghd is 2,8m long), also a co-rotating cable input and In addition, a metal housing. Similar to the ghd, the housing is not big on having, as for example is described here in some brown or Remmingon stylers.

In short, the results of GHD and the Grundig Wet & Dry are very similar:

Smoothing the ghd does not last longer, it is for example a little damp outside, the common wave came in the ghd smoothing through again. So no wonder effect! Momentum and shine leave both units mediocre, but I was very impressed by the help of Sebastian care product, the Triliant heat protection that gets the hair beautifully supple. Had parallel just about everything on heat protection sprays in cheap drugstore my confidence tried (Propanten, Dove, private label and John Frieda!) And nothing had such a nice, unklebrigen finish effect.

So I'm going to ghd exchange quickly and continue smoothing the Grundig - and invest my money in Sebastian care;)
