Well, goofy when you approach with such expectations for another album. And then this: Autotheism could directly come from an entirely different band. From the beginning, the work is far more symphonic and considerably catchier. Clean vocals come almost equal footing with growls. Slightly more sludge, a little more melancholy. Autotheism more reminiscent of a modern version of Paradise Lost or perhaps even more Opeth as a technical Brutal Death Metal band. Although Blasts and more complex passages are always included, but somehow the whole thing looks inconclusive and pulped by the many different influences and musical styles and tattered.
On the whole, that's not necessarily bad, but I can not find the right unique direct hit on the disc. The clean chants are also true well done and not as whiny, like this whole modern metal Heul core troops, but really great sound the contrasts then again not. Technically everything is great and also the production is great. With all the spherical and playful jazz arrangements but me songs missing clearly simply with clout. Is on Autotheism - so I have a feeling - everything touched somewhere, but not performed properly finished. A great demonstration of playing skills of the band, but really more is not made the album.
