CD 1 contains the actual album. Vocally Tarja is of course great.
Front started there are some very good songs, first the rather rockier "I Walk Alone" and "Lost Northern Star, the more quiet ballad" The Reign "(I rather like a ballad, but the drums act as if the piece recording overridden).
We continue with the rocking "My Little Phoenix", the next ballad "Boy And The Ghost" (the final is great) and "Sing For Me" (It's difficult to describe, but the final skin really clean).
After the album decreases. The peaceful "Oasis" is kind of boring and not very catchy, Poison is rather mediocre (the version of Groove Coverage like it any better). "Our Great Divide" and "Damned And Divine" can not convince me really well.
With "The Alive" there's only then again NEN really good piece, followed by the also not bad "The Seer" and "Minor Heaven" (captures beautifully calmly and then comes to a grand end).
The last two songs "Ciaran's Well" (somehow wild and confused) and "Calling Grace" (boring) then the low point of the album.
Although there are not any pieces Top, but you can listen to all and many are really good, here 4/5 points for CD1.
So far so good, now there remains CD 2 with two (or three, if you count a live piece) new songs, some remixes and some live versions.
The first piece "Enough" is new, but it is not skin me away, rather happy medium. "The Seer" in a duet with Doro Pesch I like not as good as the Orgignalversion on CD 1, Doro is just not reach Tarja.
"Lost Northern Star" the highlight of the disc is in Tägtgren Remix clearly better than the original CD. 1
Then equal to the lowest point of the disc "Wisdom of Wind". Tarja may indeed be able to sing well, but somehow it is rumgeträller plenty annoying in the otherwise rather boring piece. The play is one reason not play the CD from beginning to end, I thought to myself at first hearing "this is impossible" and much has not changed in the assessment.
Then comes an instrumental version of "The Reign" coming in the very beautiful cello solos to bear, but the thing with the drums here so disturbing. The version with Tarja is NEN tick better.
Furthermore, there are still other versions of "The Alive" and "Calling Grace", but which do not differ much from the original, and therefore really are not worth mentioning. Furthermore, yet another mix of "Lost Northern Star", but by no means comes close to the other versions and a version of "Boy and the Ghost" without orchestra, band and choir only with voice and piano, who was at the end of the force lacks the original.
Then, finally, three live versions of pieces on CD 1, unfortunately, just the worst. Although a tick more interesting than the originals, but still not good. And do not forget even the live play "You would have loved this," vocally course again good but rather boring.
Apart from Tägtgren remix of "Lost Northern Star" I have nothing worthwhile found on the CD, here 2/5 points for CD2.
Together brings me on 3/5 points. The album I would definitely buy again, but rather in the more favorable 1-CD version (and hopefully also in the Jewel Case).
