First of all: I need / need the cable to connect my GTX 970 graphics card with miniHDMI 2.0 output to a LG 55UB850v I use as a monitor. And on 4k @ 60Hz (3840 x 2160) WITHOUT chroma subsampling, ie on 4: 4:. 4 Genuine 4k halt.
Unfortunately, the cable delivers 50 Hz artifacts 4k @ 60Hz. These are picture dropouts, green and black stripes random pixels in the image. And if one shakes the HDMI port, the picture is probably completely gone. But at least you get so ever a picture. A AmazonBasics was much worse. Useless. I've even tried a 3 meter: Again: no image.
Only with this adapter and a Noname High Speed HDMI cable I have stable 4k @ 60Hz and am happy.
Conclusion: Not recommended for 4k, but hey I do not know if maybe the HDMI input on the TV is worse than usual, I can not test unfortunately. But as it goes anyway, the quality of the other thing just has to be better. So for 4K rather steer clear.
