Not a good movie, not a Star Trek ... special effects and action galore

Pros:
-Beautiful Pictures. The film has been a few really great pictures that have already requires some technique.
-Action Scenes very well staged. The action scenes are quite well done, looks very authentic.
Cocking told. The plot is told very exciting. You can follow the action pretty well and is willing to stay until the end of it.

Cons:
-Handlung Very flat. While there are turning points, but they are already recognizable from afar. Not everything new just chewed again.

-Characters Also very flat. The characters personal experiences of the characters does not matter. Except for the "love affair" of Uhura and Spock hardly significant insight into the protagonist (also this love relationship, as here in the comments someone has aptly, only there is, to some gags to get rid of). Sulu and especially Chekow could be dispensed without problems and no would disturb it.

Although -No real Aussage.Am end comes a speech by Kirk that will outline a bit the possible message of the film, but otherwise barely addressed in the film.

Logic. A sci-fi movie does not have to obey the logic of daily life, but should be consistent.
