I am the first generation gamers, have begun in 1981 at the age of 4 years with Pong on the Atari 2600. To this day I zocke passionate and do since the beginning with the development.
Therefore, interested me the evolution of the games more than commercial success.
I also played GTA from the beginning (I, all the parts played from the first part, which was still played in bird's eye view).
For this reason, I'd like to address issues that are not in the Most data reviews.
First advance: Yes, GTA V is a great game. Horny scripts, excellent voice acting and realistic animations give rise to a great atmosphere. Also the (partly black) humor has often let me watching television laughing.
However, it is not a revolution of computer games. Anyone who has played GTA IV is (apart from the character changes) see nothing new here.
Yes, the map is as great as ever. Yes, the graphics as never looks so good. Yes, the story is well written and you want to know what happens next. But it's not always entirely new game concept.
Rockstar has always been a pioneer and can be new things come up (to the first GTA the cornerstones of today's sandbox games set / with LA Noir completely new directions taken).
This is playing technique with GTA V not the case.
Now a few words about the most important changes, the character changes. This creates an entirely new feel and to build a relationship with several Charaktern on.
In conventional games you steered a main character and was accompanied by NPCs (Non Playable Character). Then was added the possibility to give these NPCs commands and to control them so indirectly. Now we put ourselves at the same time in multiple roles.
This is great implemented Especially with the great coups (called heists) as bank robberies, armored car robberies etc. With 1 character to the rams armored car, the camera will automatically switch to character 2, the forces open the doors, and then automatically with the one drives the getaway car to character 3.
In a conventional game, you would have taken only one of the tasks and NPCs have done other things. For Hollywood blockbusters, the camera is also always there where just the action. This one the game is partly like an interactive action movie.
This (important) new feature comes mE only at major coups really to bear. Outside this is the game we play a typical, good GTA game. The fact that you can choose the character freely outside the coup, me so really has no effect on the gameplay.
I would give this game 5 stars fun, because it's a great game that you (if you buy smart) can get to 50 and may have a long fun with it (if you also like sidequests triggers).
Overall, it gets me 4 stars because it just is not a revolution.
I have graduated now more than 50% of the game and think to myself to be able to form an opinion. Should this change fundamentally at 100% I will edit the review.
