After an exchange of the toaster due to uneven browning, I now have the same problem with the new replacement unit. The heating elements lying in the middle does not bring the same performance as the outside, which is why the slices of toast are always tanned from one side significantly less than from the other. Apparently this is a general problem with this unit ..
