I find that as is the case in almost all Vtech toys, the indication on the minimum age is false. I took it to my son for Christmas one year, he looks at the activity table now to 27 months. For a child of one year activities without the tablet are frankly not fantastic (he loved by his table of activities against fisher price much more fun). With the iPad he started playing, he chose his game (race alphabet chateau orchestra with monkeys) after not really play there it will turn the steering wheel without realizing he steers the car (it takes in more frankly turn the steering wheel if the car does not move). He loves the music of the alphabet castle .... that's looping. A first generation iPad is used. The plastic cover does not fit the screen, but responds well when the child touches the screen. By cons, if not use the iPad was a kind of plaque that is placed instead, it is a game that is clipped, the child must bring each animal to its counterpart. It frankly does not interest my son but what is annoying is that as this plate game snaps on and under the table so that for the ipad do that is clipped on, so when you use the other, the bin ipad protection lagging elsewhere and it frankly they should have to provide a system of clips for this one too. I think it is recommended for children over 36 months or less to enjoy the waking table. I leave 3 stars for the benefit of the doubt, because I think it will be me in a few more interesting for my son and he can use it well. However if it again I would not buy it.
