Not bad, but not fully convincing

The Dremel 4000 was my ticket to the world of "multifunction devices" and since I'm a lot with my son tinker in the basement. I have decided for the 4000 because I grind a lot in the field of small parts and therefore also need the low speeds of 5,000 to 10,000. And really, that's a very important point for the 4000s.

The price of just over 100, - Euro is sure not cheap. Cheap this is the case, which is not really usable. While there are all parts brackets only is such 0815 that always everything tumbles mess. It's annoying and I did not expect at a high-end device. Supplied accessories gives an impression once, what the Dremel is to use everything. Has man / woman started working times, is man / woman quickly became a regular at the hardware store. Unfortunately, the items are poorly described and therefore a tablet or smartphone is recommended to research when buying the consumables at the hardware store.

The unit itself seems very solid. However, the engine is running at my not quite round and on request from the hardware store, I learned that so many times and that I should be me not to worry. Auchter good but here again for this price I really want a round running engine.

Conclusion: All in all, I work a lot and like the Dremel 4000. During accessories I am already the longer switched to Proxxon, it is not not only cheaper but also quality mostly full. This is worthwhile in any case, a view also to competitors Proxxon.
