After another interlude of Father Abraham aka Dr. Dre, the listener expects a Cool & Dre sample on "Good Girls Go Bad", which is covered up by a little monotonous for my taste Beat, which is at least tolerable in the Hook. After all, we know from this investigation of Game and Drake what the evil is different from the good girls.
In "Ricky" the for a Gangsta Track obligatory shots (Boyz N Tha Hood Intro) are derived in the beginning initiate the whole thing. Monumental strings and powerful drums, occasionally supported by saxophone, form the framework for a truly successful track that also shows again that features are not absolutely necessary. Game spitted wildly, crying at the end and the melancholy strings form a coherent conclusion for such a song.
In "The Good, The Bad, The Ugly" 'Game changed his voice into something that sounds more like Biggie, but quite fit comes over here. His storytelling and a piano in the beat make the (very short) song unique.
For me personally, a absloutes highlight of the album: Heavy Artillery. Supported by Ricky Ross, the boss of Miami, and Beanie Sigel from Philadelphia, a real banger is brewing in just over 4 minutes with his heavy bass and the dark background tunes (sample of Billy Paul's "I'm just a prisoner" ) fits perfectly into the overall rather gloomy overall picture of the album. Games feature guests endeavor notably to keep up with the self-proclaimed West Coast King. For this purpose to place the predicate: "Hammer Track!"
On "Paramedics" hurries to help Young Jeezy, the siren-like Maestro Beat is ideal for a feature of the Atlanta-trapper with the hoarse voice. The mid-tempo beat of Mars on "Speakers Going blast" verpricht Some, Game, Big Boi and Bay Area Homie E-40 keep it. A little more bass you could wish for, so that the speakers really blasts' ...
Lady-like then comes Lloyd on "Hello" Therefore, a shallow track, away from the usual Hood Banger mentality. The track initiates the start of the quieter second half of the album. In "All the Way Gone" Don Cannon controls a
"Pot of Gold" with Chris Brown is a radio-compatible song, who knows but to boast Games Lyrics.
"All I Know" (Prod. Boi-1da) recalls the Beat forth again more like a Rick Ross song is musically less towards West Coast. However, Game also makes this a good Einruck, snappy as ever, and the electric guitar completes the thing sound off.
Hardener it is again only with "Born in the Trap": Who Marry DJ Premier, knows what he gets: Old School at its best. Geiler beat, good rap.
"Mama Knows" featuring Nelly Furtado, produced by Pharrell Williams, is again a very smoother track, piano and drums form the basis of more reminiscent of a warm summer night than to a hurricane as the first song of the album for a track.
"California Dream" is then the long final song, he is to be found in previous albums of the Compton MC. Equipped with an instrumental Rounds album perfectly.
Overall, the album is indeed not a revelation, one gets accustomed fare of Game, which takes quite seriously the "name-dropping" and the Gangsta attitude again. But if you're already a fan, and his rap otherwise well liked, the album is a real grenade. On the West Coast sound of "Doctor's Advocate" comes "The RED Album" not ran, so no 5 stars. With statements such as "Classic!" or "Album of the Year!" you should known sparingly, but who previously had fun at The Game (like me ^^), which will also appeal to this album. Good performance, therefore 4 stars.
