This book is a compilation (one more) postures. The back cover tells us he is "recognized as the most complete book, the most educational and best illustrated (600 photos) of all those who have been written about yoga." Indeed, comprehensive and well-illustrated. But pedagogy is 0. It is limited to a course increasingly expanded program over the weeks, so that it becomes impractical. For example, for the 10th program which corresponds to the 16th and 17th week no fewer than 44 postures! And no explanation to understand how to build a yoga session. But the most disappointing from a book by BKS Iyengar, is that it shows that the ideal posture. No details to adapt or even to approach them. Suffice to say that this book is useless, impractical (or so dangerous) may already have some years of yoga behind. Yet Iyengar is recognized to teach a very adaptable with the use of yoga blocks, straps, belts ... I thought I find that in this book, but it is absolutely nothing.
