In the very first sentence of my review I will again speak of my own title bar. I do not like neutral matched headset. And that I do not get something here, was also clear to me when I bought my headphones. I like it when headphones to emphasize bass on a crisp way you can feel the "Kicks" right in the head. Also I like to be a certain presence of the bass. Hoping to obtain such a headset, I ordered this.
Optics & Material
Let's start from the outside. The headset looks okay. No more, no less. He is not a bomb design, even if the red accents and metallic headband are very positive to note. The ear pads are soft, see my opinion but for something cheap. Annoying, but I find the roughened plastic, from which the body of the ear cups. He makes a cheap impression. The fact that this is better, Sony has already proven with many other models, for example the Sony MDR1RBT. There, the plastic is smooth and to my knowledge coated with a soft-touch surface, which is very pleasant to the touch and looks much quality. Too bad that you have not resorted to here. The control buttons are not degree super resolved. Here Jabra has, for example, launched a highly successful implementation at your Revo Kofhörern.
Overall, I am of the opinion that one might expect better for a purchase price above 100 euros. As an example here for me Phillips mentioned.
Connection & features
The production of the Bluetooth connection was not a problem. Turned on headphones, then held the phone for two or three seconds and thanks to these NFC Bluetooth connection was practically already made. The same smartphone with NFC is of course required for this purpose. But besides that represents the whole no challenge. Turned on Bluetooth and search for devices, announced the headphones that it should make its signal available and then you had to choose only him yet.
Worth mentioning is that Sony has put at the controls on the headphones on a cross-platform function. This means that items work both under Android, and iOS easily. No matter of course, often the manufacturers have contracts with Apple, so the controls on Android work only very limited. Negative to mention here, for example at the Sennheiser Momentum headphones.
Otherwise, the controls on the Sony's are pretty fiddly and small, which is a shame. I refer again to the really successful concept of Jabra Revo's.
Sound
Are all previously-mentioned things to bear in doubt, the sound is of course the core element of a headphone.
I had hoped for much more. The sound is quite bassy. However, in no pleasant way to all. It is not clear and crisp, but rather dull. He lies like a dark cloud over the entire music and leaves a lot of clarity in the music are missing. Mids and highs are swallowed what the listening experience further decreases. General including: Bass is unfortunately really the "specialty" of these headphones. At mid and high frequencies, however, you have not always thought, which is why these are also not good effect.
It now sounds harder than it is the case. Otherwise I would have indeed been no three star. But for my taste in music, which is very happening in the indie and alternative range, the headset is unfortunately hard to use. Since I've heard much better.
There is also a Bass Boost button on the headset. This is, sorry, just a bad joke. Certainly, the bass thus has even more boost. However, in a sound quality that leaves more reminiscent of Beats headphones. And what the high means everyone knows who has a little busy with headphones. Absolute gimmick and really absolutely null to use for a faithful reproduction of the sound, it must be said so clearly.
All in all I had really hoped for more. But for this price I can recommend it to anyone, to buy the headset. Since the competition has just better put on the market lately.
