Not for Win7-64Bit users!

This is the first review that I write, and I buy a lot from Amazon.
This scanner is a joke!
Canon is applying it on its website as Windows7-64Bit compatible. But he is definitely not!
Anyone looking for a scanner that easily under Win7-64Bit, quickly and easily can scan at 600 dpi documents, photos etc., please, he may - with significant servo motor noise, but it's just a 80 unit, as you can the put away.
I (experienced users), have many hours (and nervous) needed to recognize that more is not there.
From previous reviewers described workarounds (which I hoped when I bought him despite warning) unfortunately did not help me further, as specified options include in my program version is not simply given, specified driver will not be accepted and so on ...
Under Linux (Kubuntu 4.12 64bit) I come now, after all, to 2400 dpi, which is least before half of the promised 4800 dpi resolution, while it is running Windows just 1 / 8th (!!!).
Very sad and so I advise Win7-64Bit-users penetrate from buying !!!
For users of other operating systems: Amazon indicates: Often bought together with: USB cable. Such is! Not interesting products!
