not made for small hands

Sharpness and processing of potato is really nothing to complain about. Only in practicality there are penalized. I really have no little hands, but the handle is simply unpleasant large / thick. Worked a bit slimmer and feel would be significantly improved. People with smaller hands I would advise to another grater.
