I have found the Cardigans always great in their late phase, "Gran Turismo" was good "Super Extra Gravity" and - "Long Gone Before Daylight" is one of my favorite albums of all time. The debut of "A Camp" was also great - not to mention the inimitable voice of Miss Persson. What "Animal Heart" is concerned, is for me not a lot of positives: Sterile production, partially weak songs - and especially everything is too sweet, anemic and harmless. The title track sounds like the randomness of the 80s, another would have fit well in a Disney animated film ("Dreaming Of Houses"). One has the feeling, Persson wanted as far away from the Cardigans sound (guitar hear if at all, only in the background), but that was totally for me in the pants.
