After our son had discovered the toilet for themselves, he was allowed to pick something and as a car enthusiast was his choice to "Johnny Coupe". He was a little over 2 years and since it thus corresponded to the recommended age of 2, Johnny introduction held in our house. In the beginning, of course, was the New Lust large but because he was overwhelmed with the remote control, played soon only mom or dad so and then Johnny disappeared completely from the scene. Shortly before his 4th birthday Papa fumbled the car out again and lo and behold .... the love rekindled. Now our little one is playing a lot with the car and everyone who comes to visit, at least one round must therefore nozzle through the living room.
In my opinion, the recommended age is set too low. I think 3 or 4 years would be fine. The car is very robust and has many a fall and "collision" unscathed (except for a few scratches). The car can be turned off at the bottom and this is important even when not in use, otherwise the batteries are empty soon.
