Both applies: The chin lock is not good. While the belt can be quite easy tighten, but it also dissolves permanently, so that it quickly no good hold of the helmet offers more. I think this is a security issue, as can be the helmet by a strip to loose chinstrap too easy. This problem I have read in many other positive reviews and think this is a real knock-out criterion. What nützes when the helmet after a first impact from the head flies, and the second collision happens unprotected?
Moreover, it has the interior upholstery, which is glued quite cheap, detached from the helmet, can be micht attach more and now has to be inserted before each fitting and initially detained. The chin pad dissolves completely and provides hardly any padding. The rotation lock on the back hooked up happy times. Very annoying and not a witness high quality.
When Abus Helmet our smaller daughter occur so slowly, the same quality problems. I would be interested if it was made similar to other users after prolonged, repeated bending.
From my adult helmet from Uvex I knew the ratchet closure which tightens the chin strap when closing. So we have now purchased a Uvex Speedy for our oldest daughter who has these ratchet closure and also works very well. Overall, the Uvex has a better perceived quality and you realize that Uvex more experience in the manufacture of helmets than Abus. However, the Uvex only recently in use and must prove itself in us. Even that will be used very frequently.
