I've used this housing along with a 100GB disc 3 years and was very satisfied until now. In the floor where I work, is designed carpet everywhere. At the end of the day I had the plate "ejected" properly and sought to deduct it. But when I took the case in hand (USB was still connected), there was a violent discharge on one of my fingers. To make it short: The hard drive is over since then, the electronics seems the thousands of volts that can flow in such a discharge, have not survived. The steel case is nice, but since it nunmal is also conductive, it brings me now passed disadvantage. The designer should have but also think of such a case and are installing insulating measures.
