Actually I wanted to run with this USB cable my external 2.5 "hard drives that I currently had to connect via an extension cord. Unfortunately, this cable is probably the conductor cross-section is too thin, so that none of my hard drives starts. Please Why should this cable are as well used otherwise? A longer cable also requires a wire size. Thus, the length alone is not a reason.
