I had begun the series of Myron Bolitar with "Promise Me" which was absolutely delicious. Therefore, "False bounce" plays of the comparison, and it is not to his advantage. In this thriller, Coben takes us in the footsteps of former basketball player that was Bolitar. The narrative is not passionante (a basketball star has disappeared, but where can he be ??), some characters are caricatures shamelessly, and moral self-righteous of Coben is sometimes painful to bear. However, all is read without displeasure, Coben with a real talent for "tape" its readers to his works. And of course, the end is a big rebound that nobody saw coming. But where Coben is good (unlike some French writers of thrillers grandguignolesques successful, follow my eyes!) Is that in analyzing what happened throughout the book, the reader could find the culprit. This gives a certain "reality" of history, and allows us to finish the book on a high note!
