I actually thought the device as an additional security for me, when I'm traveling in rough terrain alone. This review, however, does not refer to the actual product, but on the strategy of the company GARMIN. I can only strongly recommend any user to read through in this case, the documents for which recognition you have to accept when registering, very accurate. In contrast to the usual suspects (Google, Apple) GARMIN indicates even explicitly that they will create a link between location data and personal information in order to bring individualized advertising and information to the woman / man, namely itself and / or third service!
For me, this is absolutely unacceptable. The service provided by Garmin is sometimes so doubtful (see Internet forums), that do not soothe the theoretical possibility of objection about the "Webmaster" in the least.
Conclusion: device off immediately, wrapped, go back!
