Because hemp oil is expensive compared to other oils naturally already. However, it also does not consume such large quantities, since the oil anyway not suitable for frying due to the smoke point. For this we use for (salad) sauce almost exclusively hemp oil. Also for pestos it's super useful. The nutty flavor has a naturally lie, that's obvious, but just that I find really good. A while ago, I even used in a sweet pancake batter hemp oil, and it has harmed the taste in any way, at least I no longer perceived the taste of its own.
Oh, and the dog? Gets expensive anyway Allergy-special food, because we keep the delicious and as I said also not exactly cheap hemp oil rather for us! ;-) But even before we had changed the food, it was with the itching and scratching and also the anal gland getting better and the fur shone more. When the allergy again a few weeks ago was so strong that open deck calluses have formed at the joints, we gave hemp oil in the diet again for a few days, and now the points are again healed well. Today, we are really happy to be pushed over the tip in a dog forum on hemp as a food and can highly recommend it in any form.
We have both the organic hemp oil and the normal order and I must say that I have tasted noticed, nor of the durability forth a difference ... I think this is more a "matter of faith" and does more than the purse noticeable, but that of course everybody has to decide for himself.
And one more tip: A few teaspoons of hemp oil with one or two chopped / crushed garlic cloves stirred over freshly baked pizza given, not only provides plenty of space in the bus or train for the next two days ;-) but develops an incredibly delicious flavor.
