Portal 1 I find just brilliant. The sequel is at least in single player just not nearly as good as the first part. The story is interesting, but there is also the main problem of Portal 2. The whole game has simply become too linear and simple. In Portal 1 I have to think sometimes real. But here it runs every time according to the same scheme: I come into the room - look around briefly - and hey presto I know what to do. While you had to look for in Portal 1 even after the solution, which is here in Portal 2 simply too often obvious. And these are not even really hard. In general, the puzzles have in Portal 1 liked better because these are Tricky and abwechslungsreicher.Es also are few puzzles that can be solved in several ways to me. Another thing that annoys me most extreme, is restricting the playful freedom that you had in the first part. The Source Engine was notorious that could move almost all items free. Now you can not even move chairs or cancel cups. Portal 1 was short and sweet in my eyes a 92er rating. Portal 2 Focuses zustark on the story and neglect the puzzle aspect, then fall still interesting possibilities of the first part, such as the advantage of rumliegenden objects or to look for portal bumping away to new solutions. Another point of criticism is the Time. During Portal 1 is short and sweet, to feel Portal 2 from the middle of the game simply artificially protracted so that one has merely more hours of play.
All in a Portal 2 is anything but a bad game. But for me, is far behind Portal 1. And the GOTY award (Game of the Year 2011) and all the praise I can not understand so well.
ps. It has been tested only the SP. The Coop can not test for that I unfortunately.
