This album contains the song titles by little new - who can be put off: Stop! Error! Play! Because the new arrangements of old songs are worth listening to and of brilliant quality. Compared to the original versions of Simply Red advances from the original pop arrangements into some Cuban-tinged and even sometimes almost jazzy style. In particular, "Fairground", "Something's Got Me Started" and "For your babies" convince through the new and especially "restrained" temperament - the songs are just simplified, not the usual pop pseudo-RnB pabulum. "Perfect Love", however, is up-tempo and has the makings of a classic, with "Sad Old Red" sounds almost like the original from 20 years ago in the Arrangement - the number matches but super in the CD. Ever, the CD is very internally consistent: they can be through listening to one and put it on repeat. Conclusion: The sound grooves, in the direction of "lounge".
