After some research and study of recessions here on Amazon, I decided to buy the Philips BDP7500S2. The delivery, as usual as Prime customer - ordered the evening, the morning already there!
I have a good piece equal unpacked and connected. The processing of the device is super. Connecting via HDMI as easy as anything. Finally, the coax cable between the player and AV receiver still plugged and POWER ON!
I had "This is it" to be ordered, maybe not the BD reference, but I have several months to purchase the DVD dispensed to me then fetch the BD.
The startup of the player requires a little patience. The remote control works infinitely cheap. Is badly in his hand, the pressure point of the keys is mieserabel. I console myself with the knowledge that I soon have a Harmony One zuzulegen and suppress my anger over this FB always with this idea.
The BD started off immediately. No disturbing noises or the like, although I expected it to be noted here, however hatte.Negativ that you can turn off the automatic playback function nich. I do not want always that the disc restarts when I left them intentionally or un intentionally in the drive.
After I had seen and marveled for a while I browsed further in the manual and read something about "Firmware updates". Since I want my devices with the best software I downloaded directly download the latest firmware and the player. This they also found and updated itself. Unfortunately, I had the indication on reading to take out of the player, the BD. Well, anyway, did it after these few hours in my possession in brand new Philips BDP7500S2 nothing. A call to the Philips support did not bring me further, the players remained silent. Also there is no way to get at least the BD from the player. Without further ado, I decided to return the player, as it was also recommended by Philips Support. The BD I had to send them along. Amazon did not replace first, it did but then (thank you!).
The very next day I had a new device incl. BD. Class! This unit took part in the firmware update and started again. (Which were anxious minutes)
Now I finally was able to plug it in my hard drive to the device. 640GB HDD in 2.5-inch format - recognized everything, despite an otherwise notice in the manual. Achso- NTFS is detected! Tip - so are files> 4GB possible. Mainly equipped with XviDs I had tuned thanks to the integrated player on Toshiba. Now I already have (must be rename to avi m2ts) some AVCHD files on it and Matroska files (MKV).
Navigation in the browser of the player is to me still not acceptable. It is somehow quite cumbersome. In addition, it works just scroll down. I would have liked that you like my Toshoba LCD 1) a key has a whole page of the list scroll forward and 2nd) to be able to scroll up to possibly shorten if I want to see a film that at the very end the list is. The remote control for my feel for the bad pressure points also reacts very slowly here bugging me every time in addition to the above matters. BUT - the unit will play all formats from knotless. Great!!! Even music and photos not an issue (would have irritated me, because even the my television can already without BDP). However, one negative to me is that the player has already 2x aufgehägt while watching a movie from HDD or the FB no longer responded. A long Droch on the power switch half only.
All in all, remains to say that the Philips BDP7500S2 certainly is its price range according to a top unit. I would probably buy despite the lousy remote control again, as it all happens your heart desires. The service on the phone made me quite a long time (8 minutes) to wait but was quite OK. Even if the lady could not really help except with "Give them back the unit best ...". Because of the navigation that annoys me in connection with the crappy remote repeatedly gibts nen point deduction. But otherwise, the device is highly recommended to everyone.
