Much has already been written, and you have already read. Other things not yet. My experiences I want to share with you:

Face Unlock: The facial recognition to unlock works relatively quickly and reliably. In low light, you can unlock the device using a pattern. A pity, I find that you can cancel the detection process while (if you know, for. Example, that it does not help anyway due to darkness), but to press button is tiny and directly located on the imaginary surface for emergency calls. This is somewhat tricky.

Camera: Particularly negative is that there is no way to turn off the shutter sound. Even the silent mode does not help here. When the flash is on 'automatic', it is only triggered in almost complete darkness.
With the "HDR" mode can be more colorful images make than in the standard mode, but no flash can be switch here. For all settings applies: They are discarded if you close the camera.
UPDATE: The longer I own the device and the camera be used over and over again, the more it becomes a nuisance. I hope this improves Motorola via software update as soon as possible after.

Smart Actions: This Motorola app, the device depending on certain triggers can be configured. I z. B. set to be automatically set to silent, but with vibration when I am at work and on silently and without vibration when I am in college. When I plug in a headset automatically starts an app with your favorite radio station and at night I have chosen a different display brightness. That everything works flawlessly and reliably.

Gallery: The gallery is not possible to create folders or move images to other folders. Here only help third-party apps.

File Manager: a file manager only in the pre-installed "Quickoffice", with which one has access to the internal memory and the SD card. This folder and files can be quite properly manage, also in file formats that are not supported by Quickoffice.

Default Browser: There are a number of preset bookmarks (favorites), three of which (Amazon, image, DasTelefonbuch) can not be deleted, and also appear in the Bookmarks widget. However, previews are shown by the specially added bookmarks, the respective icon of the three pre-set bookmarks but remains dark.

NFC - Near Field Communication: turning, two devices keep together, touch screen and share media - so the theory goes. I did not get it - what it was? I do not know, maybe a lack of support from the apps used or because it is a nonsense simply - sorry - is not yet mature.

"Recently used apps": The button to the right of the home button simply shows a (sometimes endless) list of recently opened programs. If you want to back and herswitchen between two, three apps, that's okay, like a Task Manager. Unfortunately, there is no way to completely delete this list, you have to use every single wipe to the right to remove them.

Completed Tasks: Although there are in the settings, a view of the processes running, I find the views, however, not very clear and clear. If desired, I would have a task manager where the explicitly started from me and I can applications be shown individually or completely exit and clear the cache.

Memory management: applications are generally installed in the unit, a move is on the memory card - even with third-party software - not possible. Thus, the memory card is used at best as a storage for various media.

Calendar: Although I have set that birthdays and anniversaries to display my contacts, they are not to be found in the calendar and in the widget. Although I think I have everything set up correctly, should not that be the case, my criticism refers precisely to the fact that it is simply too cumbersome.

Wireless: Setting up the usual home networks is unproblematic. It becomes more complicated when special corporate or school networks that require special settings. If it works well, so it's solved complicated and cumbersome. Some settings can be made up until the network has been established, rather than allowing this same when ordering. I have resorted to me here with third-party software for home use extends the standard software but all.

Hair tweet: It can happen that the phone stubble on the unit - probably at Motorola emblem - jammed, making it a little twinge. The hospital I had not been so, but sometimes it bothers me already. With the naked fingers you can not detect any sharp edges on the device, however, at all.

Swype: This text input method I like to use and was decisive for the purchase. Extremely getting used to is when the installed version, the umlauts ä, ö and ü are positioned right, unlike on a normal QWERTY keyboard. Awkwardly, I also think a word of two words together afflict what is quite common in the German language. Here are just two words will enter, then manually remove the gap and, if necessary, change the initial capital letter of the second word - or spell out the entire word.

Processing: Exceptional quality I find the quality perception. The metallic housing in conjunction with the Kevlar-back feel extremely dibasic. The unit is all of a piece, there is no creaking noises and the keys have good pressure points. Fingerprints are barely visible on the device.

Speaker / Volume: that the speaker is not very loud, is one thing. If you want to hear, however, very quiet music in particularly quiet surroundings (eg. As before going to sleep), it is a little too loud. Between "off" and the smallest possible volume for another two stages would have had space.

Ringtones: Worst is poorly made, the ringtone management. From the house there is only a moderate selection of pre-installed ringtones, but no way to set custom ringtones / MP3's! Even in the manual it says that this should be used apps from the store. If you select an MP3 as a ringtone on an app, it will appear in the list of preinstalled tones. They cancel out again, is not possible. This is really, really bad!

In some articles I've read that one would deduct from the display size, the three standard buttons actually because they are displayed in comparison to other devices on the display and not separately. In full-screen video, the keys are, however, hidden and use the full screen size.

Kevlar back: The surface feels rubbery giffig, but still hard and tight. However, the coating has already begun in two places with me for just a few weeks too soft.
UPDATE: I have now uploaded a photo of the damage to the Kevlar surface and mark the points as they are hard to see on the screen. Parallel I contacted the Motorola Support.
UPDATE: The Motorola Support has reported and given assurances that it handelet by our warranty conditions within a few hours. I will send the device shortly and hope that it holds after longer.

Conclusion:
Hardware: (only) 4 stars
Software - User Interface: 2 to 3 stars
Software - System stability / reliability: 5 stars

UPDATE:
Were it not for the lack of quality of the Kevlar surface of the camera and some software details, the device deserves smooth 5 Stars. I have very happy now for three months in use and am. Particularly positive the stable operation and sufficient for me at any time battery power is emphasized.

My personal preferences are at a high reliability, build quality and sturdiness, a very good display and fast processor, long battery life, more intuitive user interface and pretty, attractive design and lifting it from the ground. This satisfies the Motorola Razr i in the broadest sense very good, except for the back coat.

NOTE:
I am aware that you can resolve some criticisms by apps or by rooting. I expect, however, of a high quality product that the functions contained thoughtful, is mature and configurable and I do not make improvements in many places with third-party software or fear loss of warranty for rooting.
