Once again a great success

The volume 10 of the Energy Mastermix compilation is as the previous two editions again very well managed and provides a nice alternative to the mE always modest nascent Kontor compilations represent.

On CD1 you find this time almost exclusively songs that are attributable to the genre "Progressive House" and "Bigroom". Here, then gets properly powerful bass. At first I was because of the strong concentration on Bigroom also a bit skeptical, but that has then gone but quickly while listening :-)
But this is really a matter of taste, especially Bigroom one or the other now maybe things go the nerves. Therefore, I recommend times a listen before buying.

CD2 is definitely the massentauglichere, so you will find well-known names such as Kiesza, Duke Dumont and Lilly Wood. Overall, it comes to a little quieter here, you will find some commercial deep house tracks, among other things, just by the performers already mentioned above. Nevertheless, here are some progressive house tracks can be found, such as Hardwell Remix of "A Sky Full of Stars". On the whole, it is but as I said quite a bit quieter and more melodic than on CD1. Again, can not hurt a preview, if you do not know all the tracks.

At the transitions I would like to say that I find this perfectly acceptable and have to this really nothing to complain about. You realize of course, that they were not mixed by a DJ, but this is also no mix compilation itself. The name "master mix" is in fact based on the same mission of the radio station "Energy" and is not explicitly a-mixed compilation. In this respect, the course name is somewhat misleading for one or the other. Although you can hear in the radio broadcast actually DJ mixes, but in the compilation, it is pretty much since the Volume 1 so that there is at most small transitions. Perhaps it would be a good idea if you would expand the master mix compilation on 3 CDs, and on the third CD then always a mix of a guest DJ on it is (similar to Volume 1-4, only that since the actual compilation Yes consisted only of a CD, which was then still far too little.)

Conclusion: Since the volume 8, it is really the master mix compilations uphill. The tracklist is impressive absolute, is very timely in many parts, and scores with many renowned artists. Here other compilations could really learn a lot times. I very much hope that the trend continues and the next issues are so good.
