I had a predecessor (Futura 28 AC from '05) in almost daily use: day trips by foot, bicycle, and to work (transporting a 17 '' laptop computers). Although he is still working properly, it is simply no longer get completely clean (splash / mud from mountain biking). So I made my search ... I now live in Sweden, where Deuter seems to have not yet taken all walk, I had mainly Haglöfs, Lundhags, Helsport, Bergans, Fjällräven, etc. to choose from. And no product could my old -and new- Deuter Future 28 even close 'a candle' in terms of design, functionality, and price. What I enjoy the most: -he does not 'cover' (the semi-filled with backpack somehow on top rumbaumelt), but a continuous (double-sided) and covered zipper. So if you know where you have what, a short opening and intervention at the required point ranges; you open it all the way, you have all the contents in 3D in front of him. -gleiches applies to the smaller 'Leader', which also features mesh pockets for wallet, mobile phone, etc. features, and a small carabiner 'on tape' for the car or bike keys (so that you have the / the search for three hours in a Damenhandtasche- after the 'tour' not-as). -although also designed for use a hydration bladder, I love the two-sided (!) mesh pockets for water / water or water / thermos. -The main compartment is divided into a larger (top) and smaller (lower / wet) range, the latter being separately accessible. I have my rain gear usually below. And the nice thing is, if I store the wet rain gear, the upper area stays dry. -Of course has the model devices for carrying of (trekking) sticks. -a -in my opinion- downstream necessarily Another plus: the enclosed in separate bottom compartment raincover! For other manufacturers can also buy rain covers (addition), but usually only on the size of-to; and costs about 20 euros again loosely. The 'integrated' rain protection of Futura 28 is cut for this model: sitting, shaking, and has air (as they say in Westphalia so ...). -letztlich, next to the 'air-conditioning' for the back, the shoulder straps are in fact extremely comfortable. So touched down, handle pull straps, and off you go ...
Probably my next 'daypack' in 8-10 years again Deuter Futura 28 ...
