The Grand Sophy (Paperback)

Customer Review

This is the second book I read from this author - and again, I was totally hooked to the book, the PLO and the characters. This is romance writing at its best and thankfully, so much different from all the American-styled books That are Usually available in this genre. Not only is the language the people in this book using perfect and brings you right back into the time of the plot, but the plot is very so greatly developed and page turning.
This book is about Sophy, who grow up with her father since her mother died When She Was very young. Her father has raised her to become a strong, independent and willful person who knows what she wants and does not want - quite different from most of the females of this time. She has traveled a lot, experienced a lot and THEREFORE, is no fainting damsel, but Determined to meddle in peoples affairs When They are on a track she thinks That might lead them to unhappiness. Sophy can not help but interfere, with best intensions, of course. When her father has to go to a trip to Brazil, he arranges for her to stay in her aunt's house for the time being. As soon as Sophy arrives, she starts to bring the whole household in disorder - but in a great way! I could not help myself - I was laughing out loud many times when i came upon the scenes of what Sophy did to get what she wants. This is absolutely great reading and I can only recommend this book - and the author! well done!
