Don Nix is relatively unknown. Yet it is a producer of many artists, and a songwriter headlines. He also released some CDs "solo", including this one, playing his own compositions. Here is an excellent CD of southern rock / blues rock / classic rock. The majority of titles will seem familiar but that's normal: they were written by Don NIX itself, but we do not know, because they were popularized by others, and what other! This album is excellent from beginning to end, especially "Going down" (originally played by Freddie King). The guest musicians (the "friends") are great, of course, this gentleman knows to surround himself with the kind of cream. A very good cd, highly recommended.
