One of the best Brooks saddles

Note in advance: This shows that the review relates to the B17 S Imperial saddle. That is not the case!
The B17 "S" is the ladies' version - but I have the Lord saddle written (without "S") and also on this here a review. Why that appears wrong here, I do not know!
If you buy through Amazon you should incidentally pay close attention before final placing the order, what actually ended up in the "Shopping Cart", because even me once despite correct selection (B17) the wrong saddle (B17 S) added to the shopping cart (not mind you) was and delivered. I have therefore now bought this saddle elsewhere.
But the review itself:

I'm on my wheels for years convinced driver of Brooks leather saddles. In the past, these were the models Conqueror, Conquest, B66, B67 Aged that I currently have on my wheels still in use in some cases.
It is consistently excellent for saddles, the hardness of the leather of "comfortable right from the start" (= B67 Aged) to "rock hard - be retracted for ages must" (= Conquest) has varied. A bad buy was a Brooks but never before.
In a large bike specialty shop I discovered the "SMP TRK Gel Man" saddle some time ago and due to the very interesting acting concept bought to try out (hole in the seat center - so no pressure on the coccyx and genital area). Unfortunately, although the concept has me convinced not saddle yourself, because this is a plastic gel-saddle, which in the long term - is quite uncomfortable - like all gel saddles.
The concept of "hole in the middle" in connection with the outstanding comfort of a leather saddle representing all benefits joining together and so the optimal saddle but actually. If there is such a thing.
Is there - and now we come to the B17 Imperial:
For several days now I drive the B17 Imperial and I'm from the beginning enthusiastic about this saddle. Buyer I had doubts that I might be too hard, this saddle, because that is my first Brooks saddle without additional springs on the frame. Furthermore, I had (again) set to a longer, uncomfortable running-because the leather this saddle is not pre-aged, not pretreated.
To my - very positive - but surprise, I must say that none of it is true. The saddle is hard but very comfortable and fits perfectly. Already on the first two tours of approximately 100 km in length (approx. 5 hours in journey time alone) I absolutely felt no pain in the butt, and the pressure in the buttocks area is really minimal. It is in fact one of the most comfortable and best Brooks, I have ever had. Even the feeling of sitting because of the hole in the middle on a "ring" which, at the center does not express, for the right and left all the more (a seat feeling I've pretty much felt on the SMP TRK Gel saddle) , do not exist here. You simply do not notice that in the middle of a hole in the saddle seat is - except precisely because here no unpleasant pressure occurs even after a long tour.
Conclusion: Brooks saddles I have always been convinced - but this one is really absolute top. Review: "5 star plus".
