One of the best classical recordings

The previous review remains little to add. I have this CD belongs to dozens of times, and me it is not yet become boring so far. Abbado leads the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra with Mahler's 6th Symphony at the limits of dynamic, and the music is full of motifs that illuminate the complex so central for us humans themes "love" and "death". I'm the symphony no longer out of my head. This is certainly a significant part of the exceptional recording with Claudio Abbado, who is performing the work appropriately with the Philharmonic at a very high level. I hear a lot of classical music, and for me this is one of the best CD I know of classical recordings. Regarding Mahler's 6th Symphony I know of no alternative that comes close to this level.
