One of the best Maiden albums

Thematically belt moves on this album between the Second World War ("Aces High" and "2 Minutes To Midnight") and ancient Egypt, as the title of "Powerslave" and especially the brilliant cover artwork gives an idea. And the range is also the music on this album. The first, already mentioned two songs are simply top notch and have done as single releases at that time (1984) theirs for the great success of the band. But the rest of the song is not half bad. Simply fantastic is the guitar work of Dave Murray and Adrian Smith, who both precise rhythm perform work, and with catchy melodies zweistimmig set the tone around then throw the solo part, the one playing better than the other. Drummer Nicko McBrain and mainman Steve Harris on bass, it will not get tired, even to fill by their perfect rhythmic and melodic (!) Interaction only every little gap that let the Guitarreros left. Almost perfect is all about the Bruce Dickinson's vocals, the still or even just now one of the best of his guard. In order to understand this description, you should see only once the (overly long) song "Rime Of The Ancient Mariner" listen - you'll understand what I mean. Simply excellent!
