When I joined in 1974 while rummaging in a record store on these recordings, my perception changed for Mireille Mathieu. Of course I knew the Mathieu already (in the '70s, this was not surprising), had always given her French and international repertoire preference over the productions created in Germany, but I suddenly realized based on these photographs, what unique artist possessed the world (and has). The then even quite young singer was able with clarity, ease and enormous empathy works which - at least partially - had been composed for the tonal scope orchestral music to sing. To this day, ranks this album with all its musical and emotional facets, his attention to detail, his almost uncanny precision already among my declared favorites. Incomprehensible since (almost) always remains for me, however, the use of BMG Ariola with the artist: there are reduced their value (around since the '80s) to a pop singer. I recommend every music lover - regardless of direction - to listen to this album - enjoyment guaranteed! M. Mathieu brings the way in October 2002 at EMI France in many years a CD out (to which one must be securely clamped) and goes in Nov. / Dec. this year, after a multi-day opener in Paris Olympia on tour of France. Mireille Mathieu has now further perfected their art, now it is at the height of their vocal perfection: They should have the opportunity to attend one of the concerts, you will experience a blissful surprise! Meanwhile, I wish you all just such moments while listening to the CD "Mireille Mathieu Chante Ennio Morricone".
