only goes to 1920x1080, no Dual Link!

The adapter does what he is: I can connect a monitor with a DVI connection to an HDMI port.
Unfortunately, this is only possible up to 1920x1200.
Passive converter of HDMI to DVI-D 2560x1600 (dual link) there after my research in principle not,
since the (passive) converter can operate only a "link" probably.
A 2560x1600 monitor with DVI-D (dual link) input I could not operate at the native resolution with this adapter (and previously used DVI dual-link cable) via an HDMI beech. The thing was, unfortunately, a bad buy. Therefore, and due to the error-ends this info, there's only 3 stars.
