Optimal replacement bulbs ... unfortunately still very expensive

- The color of light is pleasant at 2700 Kelvin and corresponds roughly to our habitual sensation for comfortable lighting.
- The light output (750 lumens) is almost that of a conventional 60W light bulb. On the packaging an analogue of 54W is indicated. That is perhaps something of an understatement.
- When looking directly into the lamps, the LED strings hide something more than the conventional filament of a 60W bulb.
- No noticeable delay of the light circuit / the ignition point.
- No noise.
- The color rendering (Ra> 80) is good.
- Weight: 35g ... weighed with the letter scale (!). That's quite revolutionary for a LED light source with this performance! A conventional 60W bulb weighs only about 11g less.
- Power consumption is only 6W (!).
- The size corresponds to that of a conventional bulb.
- Good for "bulbs optics": no white plastic "belt" above the screw-how at a relevant Bulb type from another manufacturer.
- You can not be dimmed. But does not matter in my case.
- Laudable as useful: all the important information (power, lumen, kelvin, Nichtdimmbarkeit etc.) are located on the glass dome.

By the angle of 360 ° is the lateral (and down) illumination - in a horizontal position of the light source - much better than in the - of the light power ago - corresponding LED bulbs, which have so far appeared on the market. If this bulb but perpendicular (thread above) is used, the illumination downwards is much lower. Very strong so it depends on how this lamps mounted / screwed is (vertically or horizontally), whether a light output or the "photo" satisfy.

According to retailers (in my case: NCC-Design) is this bulbs can also be used outdoors. On the packaging, a range of -10 ° to + 40 ° indicated by the term "operating". I have the lamp (with glass dome) used inter alia in a patio lamp. -10 ° (and more) are in our latitudes reached so fast times. What happens at -15 °? A major concern I have, however, what the electronics are concerned. If they can withstand the external conditions?

The average life span is specified at 15,000 cycles is with 20,000 hours ... see if that get there !?

The transparent dome and the visible inner workings leave the memory of the "good", revive old bulb again! For bulbs fans definitely recommended!

Two of these lamps are - since the purchase in October - daily 6-7 hours in operation. One of them outside on the terrace. So far no failures!
