Use the converter to the PC and TV (Panasonic TX-L42ETW60) with my stereo chain (Marantz PM-78, B & W CDM7) to join.
The TV is connected via Toslink, the computer via USB.
When I play the same music (in FLAC and MP3) on your TV or computer, then the playback from the computer via USB significantly quieter and more precise - Musical!
As good as my 15 year old CD player (Marantz MK63KI) but it does not sound. When Marantz there are a größerere stage and slightly more detail. The classification as a benchmark by various HiFi magazines I can not understand therefore.
In short:
+ Valent housing
+ Sound via USB good
- Sound just mediocre via Toslink / Coax, but there were cheaper alternatives
