After two old Digipals the previous series after 6 years gave up the ghost with me (one did not quite so in logic, in the second smoking of the rectifier with a bang cascade from), I still brought my successor, because the operator is super. Station search, sort, EPG, etc. is fine by hand and the use of pure fun. The Technisat receiving weak stations clean and reliable. The advantage to its predecessor and interesting for antenna makers and transmitter viewfinder: the Digipal 2 displays a bar graph / Signal Strength chart throughout the lobby, so you have all of the channels (though slowly) cyclically updated in view and well align antennas or can aim for several transmitter sites.
I am well pleased, however, the only flaw is as already described by others, a slight hum in the sound via Scart socket, a ground loop can be ruled out with my installation. Here is strongly recommended to set the volume to a maximum of the Technisat and to regulate the volume level on the TV.
