I have purchased two TL-WA701ND in order to connect two LANs over a wireless route of 500m.
The TL-WA701ND I have chosen because it has only one antenna, and it is removable. So it is without problems possible to connect an external directional antenna.
The hardware is functioning without problems, the signal strength is good and stable connection.

Another reason to use the TL-WA701ND was the possibility to operate it as a bridge.
Unfortunately, this feature is implemented so that it is not usable in practice. The TL-WA701ND supports neither AP nor as a client WDS. So that connect two LANs does not make sense doable.

Only through the use of OpenWrt I could both TL-WA701ND to really bring as a bridge between two LAN segments to work.

Conclusion: Ordinary hardware with absolutely inadequate software.
