Not the first time I stood on the purchase of a camera in front of the questions: 1. Do I really need a battery grip? 2. Does it have to be the original of Canon, or enough of the cheaper replica of aftermarket? Question 1 was answered quickly: Yes, a battery grip has to be, because the camera is better and richer in hand, especially for a vertically-shots and more energy also does not hurt. Question 2 is more difficult to answer. If you take a lot of money in the hand for a digital SLR, why then save the few Euros for the battery grip? Because an expensive original Canon battery grip for amateurs, respectively, dedicated amateurs does not make sense! I have looked in the past times the original parts, but once bought the replicas and could not detect any differences in functionality and durability. All handles have passed, work and still do it. Admittedly, one or the other replica composed himself before not quite as good at as the original, but failed or got broken is still no. So that's why even now the replica Grip for 600D. Unpacked and it screwed. Fits 1a and works. What more do you want!
