SILLY were undoubtedly one of the bands except in the former GDR. Thanks to Anna Loos, I already was able to experience live together with the band, the guys aufgerappelt again after many years and are currently working on a new album - the first since Tamara's death (RIP). This CD contains the in 1985 censored at the last minute and never released album "Between non-rut", which was then renamed by exchanging three titles that have been revised both lyrically and production technology, in "Love Waltz" and appeared in AMIGA , I myself find the uncensored versions something snappy and just "a thousand eyes" sounds a bit crisper than the remake "Psycho". If you look at the lyrics exactly sounds, it is not surprising that the censorship authorities of the German Democratic Republic took offense at various phrases ... this album was actually completely finished and already test pressings were made. But when the band wanted to smuggle a cassette holder in the West and thus to apply to various labels, this was discovered, collected and analyzed at a border control. Then, the band had to revise three pieces before the album was finally allowed to appear. For me SILLY are among the most profound and most original representatives of the East German rock and pop scene and the present album is next disks as "Mont Klamott" or "Battalion D'Amour" to the great moments of the culture of a country and only in history books memories exist. The consistently interestingly designed arrangements underline the unique voice of Tamara Danz, a very clean and clear production completes this disc perfectly, because of their complexity quite a few representatives of a similar nature that were known at that time in Germany and successfully realized in the dwarfing. That SILLY the "westernmost Eastern Band" was always, one has now often heard and read, but I can only underline. As bonus tracks, the censored three pieces that are included in the regular "Liebeswalzer" LP were added and a comparison of the different versions is always interesting and clearly shows what power had proofreading in the GDR and how hard you mutilated actual structures and has changed to remove inappropriate content and to clean the lyrics ... As an alternative to this CD purchase, usually a few euros more expensive due to their smaller circulation, but you can also regular "Liebeswalzer" CD for sale on which the original versions are included as a bonus. As a collector and Completist however you should already own both versions.
