Here is a good book that should not involve men anti-militarist left myself included. And yet it has everything to gain by reading it!
Since deportation to imprisonment after the "generals 'putsch', Hélie de Saint Marc is still a righteous example, sense of honor and disinterestedness related to his conception of his military mission.
His memoirs are written in a beautiful and often lyrical style, which sometimes reminds one of Saint Exupéry.
