For the quality of the balls a lot has already been said, so only briefly: we have the 6 cm balls from Tom King and we are satisfied. No smell, pleasant to touch, stable but at the same not too hard - I think good balls for a ball pit.
Since our son's room is not huge, we opted for a 100 liter large paddling pool. A paddling pool is because it therefore has a dual role: as a ball pit and next summer as a paddling pool on the terrace.
We have this purchased wading 12070 - with inflatable floor.
Then came the big question: do we need as many balls? Based on a few reviews, we were able to take a picture. To be able to help you with the same question now, here our consideration.
The basin has an approximate volume of 0.1 cubic meters, or about 100 liters. We have ordered for the above mentioned paddling pool 500; 350-400 would be sufficient, the last 100 is too much.
So you need about 4 balls per liter volume of the pool (this applies in round 6 cm balls).
Last but not least: we are satisfied both with the ball and with the pool. If someone owns a larger nursery, I would personally recommend a bit larger pool (then of course with more balls) - thus the / the little one has more space and fun.
