I use this receiver in an advanced configuration: motorized dish, pointing to a dozen satellites. Strong is one of the few manufacturers to publish detailed specifications of its products, and in particular the maximum current (0.5A) for controlling the motor. That was my main selection criterion. Good performance in daily use: very fast zapping, good sensitivity, good picture quality and sound, easy programming and editing channels. Negatives: the initial settings for pointing different satellites are quite tedious and the instructions lack of illustrations (note: this is my third decoder of this type). Software bugs .... The setting of all satellites located west is incorrect (eg GOTO command positions in automatic Hispasat at 30 degrees East where its true position is 30 degrees West!). It must therefore repeat the settings manually for these satellites. When moving a chain, for example, 100 to 10, the editor screen clearly indicates the new position 10, but the display on the box always shows 100! One regret, the absence of RCA audio outputs. When an old amp without digital I / O, you must dub the sound on SCART -> bad.
Conclusion: Despite these minor flaws, I recommend this machine for receiving HD and DVB-S2 free channels, especially if your facility is motorized. Very good quality / price ratio. CAUTION receiving French TNT channels is not possible unless some like Arte.
