Starting by the good experience reports that with the said combination "quick charger - 4 batteries AA" other buyers have made manifest, I have acquired the same combination. So far, the factory-set keeps batteries fully charged without recharging, and no obvious deficiencies. How is long-term behavior, may present naturally too early to assess, but will possibly be rescheduled later.
