Hardly anyone knows that this device provides a way to use an Internet web filtering.
For Netgear, this feature "Live Parental Controls". This router can take the DNS - ie the address name resolution of your Internet provider, use the OpenDNS service to match referring sites with a filter list. This is to assist parents to set up parental controls. Since the filtering by the router goes, it is as opposed to a client software on the PC for all devices in the household effective for game consoles and mobile phones and media players with wireless access, such as the iPod Touch. The filtering can be turned off or adjusted individually as needed for specific users and at specific times. There are also a whitelisting feature that always allows access to selected pages. Since the filter lists are stored in the cloud, the parents or the administrator can always access it from anywhere and make adjustments.
A look once the website at [...] there is also a video.
It helps the junior also not the DNS server locally to adjust the PC. As all requests through the router must, all harmful to young pages, and especially sharing networks are (at least for me) safely blocked.
A really useful feature that is almost unique in the router market.
