Bock on rock'n'roll? Gillan takes from the hip. With a very compact tape he juggled expertly with solo pieces, Deep Purple numbers and a few obscure cover versions and lets it rip on stage. Live and without gimmicks. Vocally he is at the height of a drum solo (well ..., but otherwise!) Halfway helps him a little breather. "Into the Fire" has never fresh and snotty heard here is a real classic timelessness impressive (and powerful!) Out before ears. "No Laughing in Heaven" - what fun! And in "Trouble" Elvis will rotate in his grave - with joy. The, excess energy that brings across Gillan, could reanimate dead rock gods again themselves. And he must have a lot of energy when he uses one of the rare breaks that Deep Purple take their neverending tour to also go with his own band at a club tour ... pure pleasure!
