To make a long story short, the album "Cold Vein" of Vast Aire's old crew "Cannibal Ox" is simply a masterpiece. After the album Vordul Mega and Vast have gone their separate ways and have solo albums published. Vast's previous album, "Look Mom ... No Hands" was really okay. "Deuces Wild", however, does not want me to really tear off the stool. The beats are average, Vast Aire jolts with always the same, wood flow from track to track, which is a bit monotonous quickly. Also lyrically he does not reach his old class, many Rhymes and punchlines are already badly weak. I would really like the album rated better, but what is delivered here all seems a bit half-baked. With the features to VA has scored a decent Own goal: The guest MCs put it technically quite in the pocket and let the New York rapper look partly quite old. Conclusion: The album is not complete for the bucket, but Vast Aire has this time not really with glory. With a bit of variety in the flow and not always the same delivery, the album would have been significantly better. Well managed and therefore Anspieltipps are: TV Land, When Starz Fall, The Crush. "THE COLD VEIN" is must-buy, "Look Mom ..." is also worthwhile, trial heard "Deuces Wild" better before. Collectors of rare and unknown Rap CDs (like me) or the hard Vast Aire Fans can also strike so. Oh yes, once again an album that will not be published in Germany, and only as an import is available. The idiotic publication policy of industry, the unknown rappers outside the mainstream, robs any chance of marketing, to me is incomprehensible ...
